Join Big Axe for an unforgettable winter adventure at Big Axe Alehouse, located within Mactaquac Park.
Embrace the beauty of the outdoors while enjoying seasonal activities, warm treats and delicious food. Don’t miss out on this perfect weekend of winter fun, nature and good company. Admission is free!
Friday January 31st, Saturday February 1st and Sunday February 2nd between 12-9pm.
Take out Window will be open from 12-9pm. Grab a snack and beverage to keep you warm and fueled for your outdoor activities.
Join our friendly staff in front of the lodge between 12-4pm for:
- Homemade chili
- Maple caramel popcorn with local Little Mactaquac Maples' Syrup
- Hot chocolate
- Canned Big Axe Products
- Coburn's Mulled Cider

1-3pm - Big Axe Sampling (In front of lodge)
1-4pm - Bring your kids inside to warm up and enjoy our indoor kids FROSTival games and Crafts!
5pm - Night Sliding (additional fees may apply)
Snowmobile Rally – Snowmobile Rally - Friday January 31st and Saturday February 1st - 2 day adventure! $10.00 Entry Fee
Embrace the great outdoors and sled through the trails at our exciting Snowmobile Rally! Capture unforgettable moments at scenic checkpoints along the way—don’t forget to snap selfies for your ballot entries:

- Big Axe Brewery, Nackawic
- Crabbe Mountain Ski Hill
- Springfield Warming Hut
- Campbell Settlement Warming Hut
- Millville Warming Hut
- Ayers Lake Lookout
1 Ballot per entry (to be verified by selfie pictures) and the chance to earn extra ballets (see our Facebook event for details) to be entered in for a draw of prizes.
Prizes will be awarded at 5:50pm on Saturday February 1st at Big Axe Alehouse & Grill located at Mactaquac Provincial Park.
Once you have completed your checkpoints, join us at the lodge and indulge in our delightful Frostival Cocktails, Savor the finest selections of craft beer and wine, or treat yourself to rich hot chocolate and spiced Mulled Apple Cider. Full food menu will be available.

Dine Around Freddy
Join us at Big Axe Alehouse & Grill for Dine Around Freddy 2025, running from January 23 to February 9. Experience a specially curated three-course menu for just $42 per person.
Starter:
- Steak Crostini: Tender slices of seared striploin on a grilled baguette, topped with a velvety red wine reduction.
or - Lobster Ravioli: Hand-crafted ravioli delicately filled with rich lobster, served in a luxurious white wine cream sauce.
Main Course:
- Stuffed Chicken Breast Over Wild Creamy Mushroom Rice: Roasted chicken breast generously stuffed with sautéed spinach, creamy mozzarella, and aged white cheddar, served atop a bed of wild rice in a decadent mushroom sauce.
or - Pork Tenderloin Over Mashed Potatoes: Perfectly grilled pork medallions, seasoned with a masterful blend of spices, served alongside creamy garlic-infused potatoes, crowned with a vibrant mango chutney.
Dessert:
- Cream Puff: Choux pastry filled with smooth whipped cream, paired with a lavender-infused raspberry sauce, topped with fresh raspberries and a drizzle of velvety chocolate.
or - Vanilla Poached Pear: A tender pear poached to perfection, stuffed with rich chocolate, served alongside a vibrant mixed berry compote, crisp crumble, and vanilla ice cream.
Each participating restaurant will donate $1 per Dine Around plate sold to the Fredericton Community Kitchens Inc., Student Hunger Program.
